Foreign media: A report shows that the total number of users of AI-related mobile applications in China has exceeded 700 million, but most applications are losing users.

According to the latest data from QuestMobile, as of September 2025, the monthly active users (MAU) of AI-related apps reached 729 million, higher than 680 million in June. Among them, native AI applications (such as DeepSeek chatbot) had 287 million users, while ordinary applications with integrated AI features had 706 million users. However, about 60% of AI-native apps experienced a decline in users in the third quarter, reflecting intense competition and increased market concentration.

The report points out that for new entrants or small and medium-sized developers, the window for creating successful AI applications is shrinking, and in the future, they need to focus on vertical fields to seek breakthroughs.
