Trump posted on the Truth Social social media platform that Washington will impose a 30% import tariff on goods from Algeria, Libya, and Iraq starting August 1. In addition, Trump stated that a 25% import tariff will be imposed on goods from Brunei and Moldova.
In a letter to Philippine President Marcos, Trump said, "Starting August 1, 2025, we will impose only a 20% tariff on all Philippine imports into the United States, without distinguishing between industries."
