India closed 21 airports in the northern region for passenger flights until May 10th, with a large number of flights canceled.

According to The Hindu, at least 21 airports in India have suspended passenger flights until May 10th following government instructions.

The report stated that the Notice to Airmen issued by the Ministry of Civil Aviation announced that these airports would be closed until 5:29 AM on May 10th.

The Hindu also reported that the occupied Kashmir, Srinagar, Leh, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Patiala, Hawala Airport in Punjab State of India, Shimla and Dalhousie in Himachal Pradesh, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Jaisalmer and Kishangarh, Puducherry, and airports in Rajasthan such as Kandla, Kushal, and Puducherry will remain closed.

The Hindu further mentioned that many of these airports are jointly used by airlines and the Indian Air Force.
