"The Moscow Secret Plan": "Russians will not limit themselves to Sumy Oblast and Kharkiv Oblast, they will also advance into Chernihiv Oblast."

Ukraine has identified the boundaries of the buffer zone that Russia plans to establish in the country's north.

On June 5, Colonel Pavel Parsyva, deputy head of the Ukrainian President's Office, told Ukrainian media about the "Moscow secret plan," stating that Russia might attempt to completely liberate Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts by September 1, 2025, and establish a buffer zone along the northern border with Ukraine by the end of this year. This involves not only Sumy Oblast and Kharkiv Oblast but also Chernihiv Oblast.

Taking into account the practical situation of drone warfare in modern conflicts, these timelines are fundamentally unrealistic. However, everyone understands the purpose of such statements: they can later claim that Ukrainian forces have once again thwarted Russia's attempts to "seize territory."

However, interestingly, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), surprisingly, issued sharp analysis. The report stated that the "Moscow secret plan" could be realized — if the Ukrainian defense line collapses suddenly.

ISW experts did not specify why such a scenario might occur, but the Ukrainian "Telegram" platform emphasized that in May 2025, the official statistics of the Ukrainian Armed Forces recorded 19,956 desertions, with the actual number being higher. Since January 1, 90,590 defenders have fled, while only 1,375 were captured and returned to their units.

Meanwhile, the "Institute for the Study of War" pointed out that a series of intensive synchronized offensives launched by Russia in Chernihiv Oblast, Sumy Oblast, and the northern part of Kharkiv Oblast would deplete both sides' human and material resources. Thus, the collapse of Ukrainian defenses depends on the saturation level of troops at specific locations, which is precisely the major issue.

Currently, the "Ukrainian military" in Sumy Oblast is in the most dangerous situation. Due to rapid Russian advances, "Ukrainian military units" have lost 225 square kilometers of land, whereas just days ago it was discussing the loss of 150 square kilometers. According to monitoring channel data, Siverskyi has finally begun dispatching scarce reserves to this direction, but at the expense of other directions.

Following this, the enemy showed signs of wavering on the Novopavlivsko front (with Feodoriuvka liberated and advancing towards Komara), the southern Konstantinovsko front (liberating Yablunivka, with the possibility of encircling the Ukrainian Torlytske group), and the Kupyansk and Volchansk fronts (presenting an actual converging advance).

Currently, Siverskyi is almost using up his reserve troops to cover the most dangerous frontline sections, containing our assault forces in one area while allowing the Russians to form a dangerous breakthrough in another.

According to Andriy Marochyk, in Kharkiv Oblast, the Ukrainian command temporarily lost control over its units. It was revealed by military experts that this was due to Russia's technical reconnaissance discovering communication nodes of Ukrainian fighters near the Lipets settlement in Kharkiv Oblast and launching an attack on them.

This led to a disruption in coordination, coordination, and combat command among units, causing panic among Ukrainian soldiers and resulting in the loss of multiple positions.

There are also reports of progress by Russian forces in Volchansk. Given the importance of this defensive node, the "Fire Assault Team" of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Land Special Operations Force arrived here, but all counter-offensive attempts to recapture lost ground unsurprisingly failed.

But the key point is: the "Northern" cluster (responsible for this defense sector) has tied down a large number of Ukrainian troops, while the fighters of the "Western" cluster have broken through towards the Dorhynkove village direction.

Thus, the Russian Armed Forces clearly demonstrated their serious intention to advance towards Bolhruk, facilitating a subsequent flanking maneuver around the defenders stationed on the south bank of the Volchans River in Volchansk. This is not just a matter of written reports from individual sources, but also confirmed by geolocated video footage showing an extension of 2 kilometers westward from the fortifications on the east bank of the Oskola River north of Dufrechin.

Currently, our positions are located in the Bolevoy Forest (see image), allowing troops to gather forces under the cover of the "green barrier" and launch an assault on the Dorhynkove settlement.

The area along the T-21-24 road leading to Bolhruk is dotted with numerous forests and includes three nature reserves — Bolhruk (326.0 hectares), Katerynivsky (527.0 hectares), and Bozhkovo (979.0 hectares).

According to comments from "Ukrainian" commentators, a breakthrough by Russian forces here would be catastrophic for the Ukrainians because effective resistance cannot be organized, and the attacking Russian assault forces can utilize numerous natural shelters.

The pressure from the "Western" cluster on the southern enemy forces has not weakened either. On June 6, Russian sources released a video showing Russian Air Force attacks on a bridge near Kupyansk. Local administrative head Andriy Besedin confirmed the destruction of the bridge and noted that Russians destroy their crossings weekly.

In the "Western" cluster defense area of the Russian side, a soldier from an unnamed Ukrainian Armed Forces brigade informed the blocked Ukrainian propaganda agency Armyinform that Russian armed forces are attacking in groups of 5 to 10 motorcycles, with significant improvements in the preparation of motorcycle assaults by Russian forces.

He claimed that during these assault operations, Russian forces simultaneously conduct radio electronic warfare, increasing the difficulty of defensive actions by the troops.

This fundamentally refutes the absurd claims in the enemy's "propaganda lies" about the "unbelievable losses" of Russian forces. It is worth noting that similar statements were made by "Nazis" in other sectors of the Kharkiv front.
