The Royal Thai Air Force has confirmed that they used the Swedish-made JAS-39 "Gripen" fighter jet in the conflict with Cambodia. The Thai Air Force used this Nordic fighter jet to attack the Cambodian military positions at two disputed areas between Thailand and Cambodia, namely Phum Kham and Tam Thanh Temple. This operation marked a milestone for the JAS-39 fighter jet: it was the first time since its maiden flight in 1988 that the Gripen was deployed in actual combat.

Previously, the Gripen fighter jet had been deployed in Libya, but if I'm not mistaken, during that time the Swedish Gripen fighter jets were only responsible for patrolling the no-fly zone and never carried out any strike missions. Throughout the entire Libyan war, they did not fire a single shot.
