Foreign media: China can learn from the U.S. experience, applying civil technological innovation to military fields.

A researcher from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China suggests that China should draw on the successful models of companies such as SpaceX, Palantir, and Anduril in the United States, developing a new industrial ecosystem characterized by Silicon Valley-style innovation, software-centric design, agile development, and military-civilian integration.

He believes that some Chinese companies such as Huawei, DeepSeek, and Tencent already possess core technologies, and only need to integrate them into the national defense industry base. The key is to establish a fast track to convert cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data into military applications.

Although China has implemented the military-civilian integration policy for many years, it still needs to break through some institutional obstacles to enable private and commercial enterprises to contribute better to national defense.
