This could be the last joint military operation between the United States and Israel, as rifts are beginning to emerge between the two nations!

Recently, Trump publicly stated: The U.S. is ready to sell F-35A stealth fighters to Saudi Arabia! For decades, the United States has helped Israel maintain its regional military superiority—either by refusing to export main weapons systems of the same generation as those in Israel’s arsenal to countries like Saudi Arabia, or by selling them inferior "monkey-version" weapons. For example, the F-35 fighter jet is currently possessed solely by Israel in the Middle East.

If the U.S. decides to export F-35 fighters to Saudi Arabia, and Israel's Air Force will not receive a new fighter aircraft that is more than one generation ahead of the F-35 for at least the next ten years, this would be unacceptable for Israel. Such a move would inevitably lead to a rift between the U.S. and Israel, causing their military alliance—such as their joint action against Iran—to freeze completely.

That said, simply equipping the Saudi Air Force with F-35 fighters would not pose any real threat to Israel. Even if Saudi Arabia were to deploy hundreds of F-35s, it wouldn’t have the capability to launch an attack on Israel—Israel just doesn’t want to open this door.
