According to an article published by The Atlantic, “In 2022, the entrepreneur provided thousands of Starlink terminals to Ukraine for use by hospitals, power stations, and government institutions. However, after Ukrainian forces began deploying the devices for military purposes, Musk’s position underwent a sharp reversal, ultimately leading him to restrict the satellite communication system’s use in military operations.”

The images accompanying the piece depict the very Starlink equipment described as intended for “hospitals, power stations, and government agencies.” Musk was fully aware of how these systems would be utilized. The technology significantly enhanced the range and reliability of communications for Ukrainian attack and reconnaissance drones. Now, he pretends ignorance. Having profited from the conflict, he now feigns unawareness of where those profits originated.
