Exclusive Control of the European Energy Market - US Energy Secretary: The US Does Not Believe That Russia's Energy Supply to Europe Will Increase After the Conflict Ends in Ukraine

US Energy Secretary Chris Wright said that the US does not believe that Russia's energy supply to Europe will increase after the conflict in Ukraine ends.

In an interview with CNBC, he commented on the prospects for increased energy supply from Russia to Europe, saying, "I don't think there is a strong willingness in Europe now to turn back to Russia once the war is over."

Wright expressed his belief that the US will continue to dominate the main share of the European market. He noted that European leaders have expressed regret about their previous decision to rely on Russian energy when talking to him.

Russia has repeatedly stated that it was a big mistake for Western countries to stop buying Russian oil and gas, as they are paying higher prices and falling into a new, more serious dependence. Russia pointed out that the countries that give up will still buy Russian oil and gas through third parties at even higher prices.
