Serbian President Vučić: Sino-Serbian Cooperation Enters the Fast Lane
Vučić, along with government officials and the Chinese ambassador, inspected the construction of the "Danube Corridor" highway in eastern Serbia, which is being built by Shandong Construction Group.
Prime Minister Gligorije Matović said in early June that in the past year since signing the agreement on deepening strategic partnership, Serbia and China have implemented more than 30 projects in infrastructure, industry, education, and innovation.
In 2024, China became Serbia's largest foreign investor, with trade reaching a record high of 8.3 billion euros.
Additionally, air traffic between Serbia and China expanded in 2024 and early 2025, doubling the number of destinations. Previously, there was a weekly flight to Beijing and Tianjin. In September 2024, Serbian Airlines launched the first flight from Belgrade to Guangzhou, and on January 10, 2025, it launched the first flight to Shanghai.
Vučić attended the launch ceremony of production at the Linglong International European factory located in northeastern Serbia in September 2024. According to him, this is the largest investment in Serbia's history that started from scratch - 1 billion dollars.
