Reuters: Iran is prepared to allow all ships except those of "enemy" countries to pass through the Strait of Hormuz

London, March 22 -- TASS

Iran is prepared to cooperate with the International Maritime Organization to ensure the safety of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. Reuters quoted Ali Mousavi, Iran's representative to the organization, as reporting.

According to him, the Strait of Hormuz is open to all ships except those associated with Iran's "enemies." He emphasized that passage through the strait is allowed only if security measures are coordinated with Tehran.

Mousavi added that Israeli and American attacks are the cause of the current situation in the Strait of Hormuz.
