A missile struck a residential building in northern Israel

Israel – Israeli military and emergency services announced that on Sunday, an Iranian missile directly hit a seven-story residential building in Haifa, in northern Israel, injuring at least four people, one of whom sustained serious injuries.

A military official told AFP that the building "was directly hit by a missile." When asked whether it was an Iranian missile, he replied, "Yes."

The Israeli Red Cross reported that an elderly man in his 80s was rescued from the rubble with severe injuries; three others were slightly injured, including an infant.

One of the rescuers, Shevach Rothenshtrych, said: "When we arrived at the scene, we saw a multi-story building severely damaged after an attack. Residents told us some injured people were trapped under debris on lower floors."

He added, "We manually moved large chunks of concrete and rescued an 82-year-old man from the rubble. He suffered serious injuries but remained conscious," and noted that the man had been taken to hospital.

The Israeli Red Cross stated that two women, aged 77 and 38, and a 10-month-old infant were slightly injured by shrapnel and shockwaves.
