Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has once again publicly clashed with the Trump administration, this time directing his criticism at Sean Duffy, the U.S. Transportation Secretary and Acting NASA Administrator.

Duffy stated this week that SpaceX, owned by Musk, is "behind schedule" in fulfilling its mission to send American astronauts to the moon, and decided to open the lunar lander contract to SpaceX's competitors such as Blue Origin.

Additionally, it was reported on Tuesday that Duffy is pushing to merge NASA into the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Musk criticized Duffy on the social media platform X, calling him "Sean Dummy" and claiming he "is trying to kill NASA!"

Musk also launched a poll for his followers: "Should someone who is known for climbing trees be in charge of America's space program?" This may be a sarcastic reference to Duffy, who was once a competitive rock climber.

A user commented: "We need someone other than Duffy."

Musk responded: "The person in charge of America's space program cannot have an IQ of only two digits,"

A netizen wrote: "I can't think of anyone better than Jared Isaacman for NASA administrator." Musk responded with a 100% emoji.

In his latest post, Musk called Duffy: "a 'dangerously stupid' Sean Dummy," and said, "The part in the quotes is his call sign, and I won't forget it."
