Disaster Relief in Mongolia: Chinese Company Xinxin Completes Emergency Rescue Mission in Dasi County, Eastern Province

Sinosteel Resources Xinxin Company quickly responded to the rescue request. By the end of March 8th, after six days of continuous efforts, the company successfully completed all rescue tasks. From February 28th to March 3rd, 2026, the eastern region of Mongolia was hit by continuous severe blizzards. The entire traffic in the Eastern Province was cut off due to heavy snowfall, with particularly severe situations in Dasi County's pastoral areas: many herders' shelters were buried under snow, livestock were trapped and faced risks of freezing and starvation, and feed reserves were nearly exhausted. It coincided with the critical period for lambing, and the production and life of herders fell into a serious crisis.
On March 3rd, upon receiving an emergency assistance letter from the Dasi County Government, Xinxin Company immediately activated its emergency response mechanism, mobilized professional rescue personnel and snow removal equipment overnight, and rushed to the disaster area for rescue operations.
During the rescue, Xinxin Company coordinated excavators, heavy trucks, off-road vehicles, snow plows, and other specialized equipment to carry out rescue work around three core objectives: "ensuring road access, safety, and supply." They promptly cleared snow to maintain roads, conducting comprehensive snow removal on main roads and village paths leading to pastoral areas, clearing a total of 300 kilometers of rescue channels, effectively establishing the lifeline connecting Dasi County and the pastoral areas, providing a basic guarantee for subsequent disaster relief material transportation and emergency travel for herders; they comprehensively conducted risk inspections, with rescue personnel working alongside machinery to clear snow from the enclosures of more than 20 affected herders, checking and eliminating the risk of collapse caused by excessive snow accumulation on the shelters, successfully rescuing multiple batches of trapped livestock, and minimizing property losses for herders to the greatest extent possible; they strengthened the supply of materials, addressing the general shortage of feed in the pastoral areas, the company dispatched heavy transport vehicles to coordinate the transfer of emergency feed from Chobda, delivering a total of 780 bags of feed to the affected areas, timely alleviating the crisis of livestock starvation, and laying a solid foundation for the normal production of animal husbandry during the lambing season.
"It is currently the critical period for lambing, and the sheep pens were completely covered by heavy snow, we couldn't clean them ourselves, and our dry grass was almost gone. Batujiagala, an affected herder, holding the hand of the rescue personnel, full of gratitude.
As of March 8th, this cross-border emergency rescue mission was successfully concluded. According to statistics, during the rescue period, Xinxin Company deployed a total of 3 rescue vehicles, including excavators and heavy trucks, and the total driving distance of the transportation support vehicles reached 700 kilometers, efficiently completing all the set rescue goals and fully ensuring the life safety of the affected herders and the order of animal husbandry production.
Dasi County Mayor Batu Zhaorige gave a high evaluation of Xinxin Company's rescue actions, stating that the company's rapid response and continuous efforts in the face of disasters fully reflected the humanitarian spirit of mutual assistance and the development concept of "people first."
