Was it of any translation? Ukraine and Russia suddenly had a quarrel.

On May 16, the delegations of Russia and Ukraine held bilateral negotiations in Istanbul, Turkey. Recently, the two sides have quarreled over whether to use a translator in the negotiations.

According to the news websites "RBC.UA" of Ukraine and the Russian "Komsomolskaya Pravda", on May 24 local time, Oleksiy Chyzhyk, deputy minister of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry and member of the negotiation delegation between Ukraine and Russia, said that during the negotiations in Istanbul, the Turkish side provided translations in four languages.

Chyzhyk said: "The Turkish side, which organized this meeting, deserves praise. They even arranged everything properly, including the layout of the room. There was enough distance between us and the Russians. As for language, very high-quality translations were arranged - Ukrainian, Russian, Turkish, and English."

Chyzhyk claimed, "We used English and Ukrainian, while the Russians spoke Russian."

However, Maria Zakharova, spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, said that Chyzhyk was lying.

Zakharova stated on social media platforms that the Ukrainian delegation first read an introductory text in English and then communicated in Russian. "They are lying, they always do so. It's so sad."
