Press Spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce Answers Journalists' Questions on Listing 11 American Enterprises on the Unreliable Entity List
Question: This time, China has again activated the "Unreliable Entity List" to sanction 11 enterprises involved in arms sales to Taiwan. What are the considerations?
Answer: In recent years, 11 companies, including Skydio Inc. and BRINC Drones, Inc., have disregarded China's strong opposition and engaged in so-called military technology cooperation with Taiwan, seriously damaging China's national sovereignty, security, and development interests. Based on laws such as the "Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China," "National Security Law of the People's Republic of China," and "Anti-Foreign Sanctions Law of the People's Republic of China," and in accordance with Article 2 of the "Provisions on the Unreliable Entity List," China holds these entities accountable for their illegal actions.
China has always handled issues concerning the Unreliable Entity List prudently, targeting only a very small number of foreign entities that endanger our national security. Foreign entities that act in good faith and abide by the law need not worry. The Chinese government welcomes enterprises from all over the world to invest and operate in China and is committed to providing a stable, fair, and predictable business environment for law-abiding foreign-funded enterprises operating in China.
