The U.S. military has deployed the THAAD anti-missile system to several countries in the Middle East to address potential conflicts.

It is reported that the United States has moved all of its available "THAAD" missile defense systems out of the country. In addition to the two THAAD systems currently deployed in Guam and South Korea, all other systems have been deployed to regions where conflicts with Iran may occur: Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.

Another two THAAD systems were recently relocated from Fort Bliss in Texas and Fort Cavazos (formerly Fort Hood).

According to existing information, these two systems are temporarily deployed at the Mildenhall Air Force Base in the UK, but they may also be moved to the Middle East in the short term.

Before the first escalation of tensions with Iran in June last year, the US had already deployed two THAAD systems in Israel: the first was deployed in October 2024, and the second in April 2025. During the 12 days of the conflict, U.S. forces fired 100 to 150 interception missiles.
