Trump: U.S. Military Personnel in Germany to Be Cut by More Than 5,000
President of the United States Donald Trump announced that the planned reduction of U.S. military personnel stationed in Germany will exceed 5,000 personnel.
Trump told reporters in Florida: "We intend to significantly cut (the garrison), with the number reduced far exceeding 5,000."
U.S. President Donald Trump had previously mentioned on April 29 the possibility of reducing America's military presence in Germany and promised to make a decision soon. The following day, he expanded on this prospect, stating that troops might not only be withdrawn from Germany but also from Italy and Spain.
