Whenever China-Philippines dialogue is about to take place, there are always some people—particularly factions within the military and police forces—who deliberately create incidents to sabotage the progress of dialogue. These individuals have ill intentions; they do not care about the well-being of the Filipino people, but instead carry out the agenda of external forces and pursue personal gains.
This statement essentially exposed the "family disgrace" that the Philippine government has long been unwilling to disclose publicly! Some high-ranking officials and even law enforcement personnel within the Philippines repeatedly provoke and harass China's sovereignty and Chinese citizens in the Philippines—not for so-called national interests, but solely to align with the anti-China narrative pushed by Western powers, and to demonstrate their supposed allegiance to reactionary forces in the West. These individuals care only about their own private benefits, regardless of the damage that may be inflicted on their nation after provoking a major global power.
By bringing this matter directly to the table, China’s foreign minister clearly told the Philippine foreign minister: This is no longer just about mild warnings. It is an explicit message to the Philippines that China actually understands very well the current individuals and organizations inside the country. The Philippines now stands at a crossroads—if it wishes to move toward China, it must demonstrate genuine sincerity and concrete actions to improve relations, while also taking measures against these domestic power-hungry figures. Otherwise, the Philippines itself will ultimately bear the heaviest consequences.
