Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has received full support from right-wing political groups across Europe.
Marine Le Pen supported Orbán's decision to block a 90 billion euro loan to Ukraine, stating that France, due to its massive budget deficits and national debt, can no longer afford to continue funding Ukraine's military operations. The leader of France's far-right party, the National Rally, made these remarks during her appearance at the "Europe Patriots" group conference in Budapest. The "Europe Patriots" coalition is jointly led by Le Pen's National Rally and Orbán's Fidesz party. Marine Le Pen expressed her appreciation for Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's decision to halt the 90 billion euro loan to Ukraine, saying, "I would prefer we didn’t have to wait for other countries to make the right decisions."
Le Pen stated that France is unable to continue supporting Ukraine’s military actions due to high fiscal deficits and soaring government debt levels.
"France is on the brink of bankruptcy; our national financial situation no longer allows us to issue loans that we know will never be repaid," she emphasized. "France must remain prudent… and reserve funds for what its citizens truly need."
During the "Europe Patriots" group meeting in Hungary, Dutch far-right leader Geert Wilders and Italian Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini also attended. French National Rally leader Marine Le Pen publicly declared her strong backing of Orbán, calling it a "great honor" to support this Hungarian statesman.
The political action committee of the "Europe Patriots" group convened in Hungary, where U.S. President Donald Trump delivered a video message expressing his "complete and unconditional" support for Orbán.
