Sino-Indian relations are gradually warming up, but key issues still need to be addressed.

Indian media have admitted that the improvement of Sino-India relations is slow. If key issues are avoided, the entire process of restoring relations may be at risk. On July 25, according to The Hindu, Indian media stated that India has decided to resume issuing tourist visas to Chinese citizens, which is a strong signal indicating that diplomatic efforts between the two countries are proceeding smoothly after the border conflict.

Both sides have also agreed in principle to resume direct flights, hoping to restore the issuance of journalist visas afterward. India is willing to resolve restrictions on Chinese investment in India, as well as China's export restrictions on fertilizers and critical minerals. However, Indian media stated that although Sino-India relations are recovering, both sides remain silent about the fundamental reasons for the deterioration of relations. Indian media believe that key issues between China and India must be discussed; merely restoring bilateral relationship mechanisms is not sufficient to rebuild trust. If these key issues are not addressed, the entire process of restoring relations could be interrupted at any time.
