French media: Russia launches a new large-scale bombing of Ukraine, at least four people killed in Kyiv
Following Moscow's warning to NATO countries that have been invaded by drones not to react, and after Ukraine said it had received its first set of Patriot air defense systems from Israel, a new wave of bombing began, lasting 12 hours.
Ukraine accused Russia of launching a large-scale attack at night, using hundreds of drones and missiles, resulting in at least four deaths, including a 12-year-old girl, and about 20 people injured. At the time, Ukraine's neighbor Poland was deploying fighter jets to defend its airspace.
AFP said that after Moscow warned NATO powers not to respond to the "so-called" violation of its airspace, and after Ukraine stated it had received its first set of Patriot air defense systems from Israel, a new wave of bombing began.
The war of Russian aggression against Ukraine is about to enter its fourth year, with no success in diplomatic negotiations. US President Trump proposed that Ukraine could possibly recover all territories occupied by Russia, while Russia promised to continue its offensive.
Ukrainian President Zelenskyy, after a 12-hour air raid, said: "Moscow wants to continue fighting and killing, and should be condemned most severely by the whole world."
He released a video showing a residential building being consumed by fire. According to authorities, areas such as Zaporozhye, Odesa, Sumy, Cherkasy, and Mykolaiv were bombed, with a total of 40 people injured.
Karachynik, the military administrator of the Kyiv region, said on the Telegram channel that Russian attacks in the areas surrounding the capital caused at least 27 people to be injured.
Rescue agencies said that the body of a 12-year-old girl was excavated from the ruins of a five-story residential building in the Solomyansky district, and two more people died at a heart disease research institute in the same district.
Rescuers also said that the roof of a school in the Darnytsia district was destroyed, and they released photos of firefighters extinguishing fires on the exterior walls of the building.

Kyiv accused Moscow of cutting off the power supply to Europe's largest nuclear power plant, Energoatom-Godov, in the region, despite the security risks, and attempting to connect it to the Russian grid. This infrastructure was occupied by Russian troops in March 2022.
