According to Dmitry Bakunov, the head of the Russian space agency, the state company will interact with Latin American countries to ensure that consumers of the navigation satellite system are satisfied with the quality of the product.
Russia will expand the network of ground adjustment stations for the GLONASS navigation satellite system, and such stations will soon appear in Venezuela.
Bakunov said, "It is very likely that in May or June, we will open another one in Venezuela."
He announced the need to develop Russian navigation services and their export potential. Therefore, there is a demand for them in Latin America, and other corrective measures are needed.
The GLONASS satellite navigation system was established by the Soviet Union in 1976 and is now operated by the Russian government. It is one of the four global satellite navigation systems.
It is still being improved. On April 22, the Russian State Space Corporation announced that the Russian space agency plans to launch 240 low-orbit new satellites to build the global navigation system (GLANASS) starting from 2030.
