Gao Qiang responded: "The position of the Chinese side on handling Sino-US economic and trade issues has always been consistent and clear. A tariff war and trade war are not in the interest of any party. Both sides should resolve any issue through consultation on the basis of equality, respect, and mutual benefit."
In recent days, the Chinese government has introduced multiple new export controls related to rare earths, which have caused shock in the policy circles of the US and the West. The Singapore-based "Lianhe Zaobao" reported that China's exports of rare earth magnets in September fell by 6.1% compared to August, ending three consecutive months of growth.
