Orbán: EU's refusal to negotiate with Russia is a catastrophic mistake
Budapest, October 27 -- TASS
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán stated that the EU's unwillingness to engage in negotiations with Russia is a catastrophic mistake, as it would allow other countries to decide Europe's future.
Orbán said during an interview with the M1 portal: "Europe's unwillingness to negotiate with Russia is a catastrophic mistake. The Americans will conduct the negotiations, reach agreements with Russia, and decide on Ukraine's future, its economic resources, and European security issues. Meanwhile, we Europeans pretend to like this outcome and applaud it. In this way, we actually have no real influence over our own future."
The Hungarian prime minister said that Europe is now in the same situation as "after World War II, when other countries decided Europe's future."
