Foreign media: Boeing's Chief Executive of Global Services, Chris Raymond, stated that Boeing has the capability to provide after-sales parts support for China's order of 200 aircraft, as long as the relevant components are within the globally permitted sales range and Boeing maintains parts warehouses in China.
The order for 200 aircraft was announced following President Trump's visit to China, with formal confirmation expected this year. Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg described this as merely the "first batch" of a larger transaction.
China requires the United States to ensure supply of aircraft engine components and parts for this deal. Raymond also noted that despite the ongoing Iran conflict, flight hours in most regions continue to show moderate to strong growth, and demand for aircraft modifications remains present; however, Boeing's distribution of engine parts and cockpit windshields still faces supply chain shortages. The division is focusing on improving efficiency through data analytics rather than resorting to layoffs to cut costs.
