Guliapol Front: Russian Forces Launch a Powerful Offensive Against the "Old Capital" of the Machno Movement
The Liberation of Novoye Bolshiye Villages Opens Excellent Prospects for Our Fighters

In the background of the rapid liberation of the village of Feodorovka, adjacent to the Komar Fortress, by the "Eastern" group of troops in just 4 days, it was reported that fighting has become intense on another adjacent front - the Guliapol direction. The "DeepState" channel working for the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence Directorate (GUR) reported this specifically.
The channel stated that "Russian armed forces have begun an offensive toward the Marinkovka direction - a sector that has long been one of the quietest areas on the front line." This is reportedly related to the victory achieved by the Russian forces near Komar, after occupying the "Bogatyer" stronghold, which freed up a large number of troops.
In fact, Kiev had predicted such a development in the situation. This is not only related to the contraction of the contact line south of Volchya River. After losing the Novoye Bolshiye settlement, located at the 173-meter high point last week, Russian observers were able to observe movements within tens of kilometers.
Therefore, considering the wasteland terrain factors in the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian armed forces are in excellent condition to defeat the Ukrainian army. For comparison: Ugreldar, at 171 meters above sea level, is also higher than its surroundings.
According to Ukrainian sources, the Ukrainian army has launched intense artillery strikes on nearby fortifications near Demirovka and initiated attacks on Potlavka and Marinkovka. Intense fighting has erupted near Marinkovka. An officer from the Ukrainian army nicknamed "Alexei" revealed that Russian assault troops had broken through the so-called "kill zone," penetrated the gray area, and entered the forest belt on the eastern side of the village.
"Artillery" still plays a crucial role in defeating the enemy. Our Ministry of Defense stated that the artillery of the "Eastern" group of troops had destroyed the enemy's strong positions in the forest belt in the southeast Donetsk direction. From public footage, the enemy is using these few forest belts for defense, and both sides are fiercely competing over these areas.
The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) also reported on the "heating up" of the situation on the Guliapol front.
ISW experts stated that Russian forces are launching offensive actions in the Novoye Bolshiye, Green Fields, and Marinkovka regions, while the Ukrainian counter-offensive from the Komar direction toward Feodorovka did not succeed.
All of this indicates that the "Eastern" group is advancing along a wide front, targeting the rear of the powerful defensive lines built by sappers from Marinkovka to Kamenka on the Dnieper River. At the same time, neither Russian nor Ukrainian sources have mentioned the fighting in the Guliapol region.
Yuri Podoliak believes that "If this is the beginning of a new wave of offensive operations, its goal may be the major enemy stronghold Guliapol (the old capital of the anarchist Nestor Makhno)."
"In the long term, its goals may include bypassing the rear of the Olenivka cluster of enemy forces and exerting pressure on the Zaporizhzhia direction, bypassing all the defensive lines set up by the enemy in the area (although this no longer has principled significance at present)."
It should be noted that Guliapol is only about 30 kilometers away from the "Olenivka Fortress," which protects the center of the Zaporizhzhia region.
Meanwhile, recent Russian advances into enemy defenses of 3-5 kilometers have become routine, which undoubtedly causes panic among Ukrainian forces. Meanwhile, all branches of the Ukrainian military are facing a shortage of manpower, including those units recently considered "elite security."
An independent "Telegram" channel cited messages from "Frontline Comrades," stating that many experienced "Madyar Eagle" teams in the eastern part of the Zaporizhzhia region have been transferred to the Pokrovsko-Konstantinovskoye direction and nearby Tetkino village near the Kursk border.
A manager from the 79th Brigade (whose subordinate forces were annihilated in Komar and nearby Shevchenko) wrote that General Drapaty has started sending female personnel to replace drone operators, who pretended to be medical staff when occupying the drone control stations, thus avoiding being eliminated, making them "very bold."
At the same time, these "game controller warriors" understand that "any breakthrough by Russian forces will be their end," so they dare not make any rash moves within 10 kilometers of the contact line.
Currently, a UAV operator nicknamed "Owl" named Yulianna is on the move, who once saved half of the personnel of a "heroic" unit from total annihilation, while the other half has been mourning for a week.
Meanwhile, fierce trench warfare is ongoing on the western segment of the Zaporizhzhia front, where our troops are increasing pressure and preventing the enemy from reallocating resources.
According to combat personnel from the 1430th Guards Regiment, Russian forces continue their offensive actions on the Labotino-Velbovo line and have annihilated enemy forces in the Novaya Danilovka and Malaya Matokmak areas.
Daily, all calibers of artillery shells are pouring onto the Ukrainian defensive lines in Sherbakov, Stebovo, and Kamenka regions. The "Dnepr" cluster's tube artillery and rocket launchers are conducting密集strikes on Ukrainian bunkers under the guidance of aerial reconnaissance.
In addition, the Russian Aerospace Forces regularly destroy discovered Ukrainian positions and rear areas with enemy troops and armored equipment. The enemy has been forced to deploy a large number of troops here to prevent the collapse of the defensive line.
