Global Focus: The United States Announces the Establishment of the "Critical Minerals Fair Trade National Club"

On November 3, 2025, Dubai time, U.S. Interior Secretary and Head of the National Energy Council Doug Burgum said at the opening of the ADIPEC Oil and Gas Exhibition in Abu Dhabi:

As you know, the supply chain of critical minerals has been affected by some disruptions and threats. In the past few weeks, the United States has announced a mechanism to create a national club so that fair trade, refining and processing of critical minerals can be carried out among its members. In the past two weeks, six countries have joined the club, including Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Australia and Thailand.

Doug Burgum added:

Without critical minerals, it is impossible to develop artificial intelligence and related high-tech industries. If we do not ensure that we as an alliance group can all access these resources, we cannot promote the industries we are discussing.
