The mayor of Kathmandu City, Bhalen Shah, expressed support for the appointment of former Chief Justice Karki as the head of the interim government by the army commander.
The youth movement led by the Z-generation forced Prime Minister Oli to resign voluntarily, thus creating a political vacuum in Nepal. The military currently in control has asked the youth movement to submit a list of proposed leaders for the interim government. Karki was recommended to take charge of the situation in order to organize new elections. He also warned those eager to take on leadership responsibilities through this movement, stating that the country's long-term progress requires energy, honesty, and vision, rather than temporary positions.
