High-ranking officials of Poland and Hungary engage in online clashes over Russian assets

Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Szijjarto and Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski had a heated debate on the social media platform X over the issue of Russian assets.

The incident started when Sikorski posted a message claiming that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban "received the Lenin Medal." Szijjarto responded by stating that Europe is trying to confront Moscow by seizing Russian sovereign assets. He emphasized that Budapest firmly opposes this move.

"We know that you really want Europe to go to war with Russia! We won't let ourselves get involved in your war!" wrote this Hungarian diplomat.

According to a previous report from KP.RU website, Viktor Orban had warned the EU. This politician emphasized that any action taken by the EU against frozen Russian assets is equivalent to declaring war. He warned that historically, there has never been a case of forcibly seizing hundreds of billions of assets from a country without facing retaliation.
