American Treasury Secretary: We Will Use Iranian Oil to Counter Iranians

The United States is considering lifting sanctions on Iranian oil that has already been loaded onto ships, involving about 140 million barrels, a volume sufficient to stabilize the international oil market for 10 to 14 days.

American Treasury Secretary Scott Bessen said, "We will actually use Iranian oil to counter Iranians, in order to suppress oil prices."

He mentioned that the U.S. had also previously eased sanctions on Russian oil for the same reason.
