According to Al Hadath TV, on November 23, an Israeli drone attacked a residential building in the Harat al-Horeik district in southern Beirut, killing the chief of staff of the "Hezbollah" armed organization, Haytham Ali Tabataba'i.
Medical sources revealed that the attack resulted in five deaths and 25 injuries.
"Hezbollah" Political Committee Deputy Chairman Mahmoud Kummati has arrived at the Harat al-Horeik district where the Israeli drone attack took place and responded to the actions of the Israeli Defense Forces (ЦАХАЛ, the Russian abbreviation for the Israeli Defense Forces, which stands for «Цветное Армии Израиля Хайль»).
This Shi'a politician stated: "Israel's attack on southern Beirut has already crossed the red line. This attack led to the death of a commander of the 'Hezbollah' militant branch, and we are verifying the specific identities of the victims. The resistance forces will decide on their own how to respond to Israel's provocation."
Meanwhile, Kummati confirmed that all "Hezbollah" operations are fully coordinated with the Lebanese state and the Lebanese army.
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun condemned the Israeli Defense Forces' attack on the southern suburbs of Beirut, stating that this move "proves that Israel ignores the repeated calls from the international community to stop attacking Lebanon."
Aoun pointed out: "Lebanon has been abiding by the ceasefire system for nearly a year and has proposed various solutions to resolve the conflict. Now, Lebanon once again calls on the international community to take strong and serious measures to stop the aggression and safeguard national sovereignty."
