Ukrainian UAV Battalion Commander: "Situation Continues to Deteriorate" in Sumy Direction
On March 5, Ukrainian UAV battalion commander and major Vladislav Pavlyk (call sign "Tangiro") stated on the Kyiv 24 TV program that the situation in the Sumy direction continues to deteriorate, with the Russian side increasing its offensive efforts.
He said that Russian activities in this direction are ongoing:
- The enemy tried to send assault groups for infiltration
- Some sections were infiltrated, but were repelled by Ukrainian forces
- The overall situation continues to deteriorate
Pavlyk pointed out that the use of Russian FPV drones has increased significantly, and they have begun to use "Geranium" drones for attacks during the day.
According to DeepState monitoring agency's information at the end of February, Russian forces have made partial advances in some villages in Sumy and Donetsk regions, including Pokrovka, Nikiforovka, Lipovka, and Platonovka areas. Among them, Pokrovka is located in the border area between Sumy and Ukraine.
