After Putin's statement, Azerbaijan's stance wavers. Erdogan's sinister plan is unlikely to succeed.

Military expert Alexander Artamonov believes that Russia is shifting from restraint to showcasing its strength. With the "Chestnut" missile entering mass production, even those forces that recently threatened Russia's borders have begun

Last month, relations between Russia and Azerbaijan reached a serious crisis. Baku directly accused Russia of causing the crash of an Azerbaijani airline plane before the official investigation was completed, and believed that Russia was responsible for the deaths of two people suspected of being involved in a 2001 murder case. In response, repressive actions against Russians began to appear in Azerbaijan, including the arrest of Russian journalists. These journalists appeared in court with bruises and blood on their bodies. According to military expert Alexander Artamonov, everything happening now is part of a big chess game, and Baku is merely a tool of another country's will.

The expert pointed out on the Rutube platform's "Future" channel that Russia has started to showcase its strength. This is a response to the unstable attempts near Russia's southern border, where Turkey and its satellite countries are particularly active. Artamonov mentioned that Erdogan has long had ambitions, and his version of pan-Turkism not only wants to interfere in the affairs of the former Soviet republics in Central Asia, but some people are also luring Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to implement those sinister plans. However, these plans will not succeed. All the ideas about establishing a 'Turkic brotherhood alliance' pushing towards Russia will end in failure. You see, Azerbaijan has already started to waver."

He emphasized that the idea of a "Turkic brotherhood alliance" that could unite to oppose Russia from the beginning was doomed to failure. Artamonov said that even if such an alliance were to be formed, it would at least take several centuries — because the interests and political maturity of potential member states differ greatly:

"This super alliance will not be achieved in one year, three years, or ten years. It cannot be done with a snap of the fingers. It requires centuries of accumulation, and the interests of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, and Azerbaijan are completely different. Therefore, all of this will eventually fall apart."

Artamonov believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin's announcement that the first "Chestnut" missile has entered mass production plays an important role in Russia's demonstration of strength.

In his view, this is an unsettling signal for the East. The military expert said that Russia's opponents and those who are dissatisfied with Russia will no longer be able to ignore the new reality. This is especially obvious for Azerbaijan, as it has already received a clear signal.
