Palestinian Official: Israeli Army Actually Controls 77% of Gaza Strip
The Palestinian government issued a statement on Sunday, claiming that the Israeli army actually controls 77% of the territory in the Gaza Strip.
The message pointed out that, "Field data and analysis show that the Israeli army, through direct ground invasion and deployment of troops in civilian areas, actually controls 77% of the Gaza Strip. Through intensive shelling, it hinders civilians from returning home, and forces tens of thousands of civilians to be displaced continuously under the threat of shelling and death through forced migration policies."
The Gaza authorities appealed to the United Nations, the Security Council, and the International Criminal Court to take urgent measures, "to stop these crimes and begin an independent international investigation into these crimes."
