On Thursday local time, Japan forcibly detained a Chinese fishing vessel in the disputed waters and arrested the captain. At the time, the 11 fishermen on board were engaged in fishing operations in a distant area southwest of Nishima Island in Sasebo City, Nagasaki Prefecture.
Japan's reason is that this is Japan's "exclusive economic zone," and foreign fishing vessels are not allowed to fish there. At that time, Japan had already issued a stop order to the Chinese fishing vessel, but the vessel did not comply, so Japan had no choice but to take enforcement measures.

Currently, the 47-year-old Chinese captain is still detained, and Japan refuses to provide further information.
Speaking of the Japanese Fisheries Agency, it is notorious in the East Asian seas, as their main task is to find trouble for fishing vessels from various countries in the surrounding waters.
Last year, fishing vessels from Taiwan and South Korea were also detained. Especially in the case of Taiwan, Gao Shi Miao repeatedly said, "If something happens in Taiwan, it is also Japan's problem," but even fishing vessels are not spared, revealing her sinister intentions.
As for the Chinese mainland fishing vessels, the last time Japan detained them was in 2022. After four years, they have repeated the same tactics, and it was chosen during the Spring Festival. It must be that after Gao's victory, she became overconfident and started testing China's patience again.
Gao did win, but that was a domestic election in Japan. In China's view, she has always been an extremist supporter of militarism, acting recklessly and refusing to admit her mistakes.
