The Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection and Supervision in Moscow, together with the Health Department, have identified the food source that may have caused the poisoning. An epidemiological investigation is currently underway into the incident.

The incident occurred in the New Moscow District. A family purchased pickled vegetables from a private vendor in the Kommunarka District, and after consuming these pickled products, five people's health deteriorated severely - they exhibited symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and respiratory failure. It was reported that the only person in the family who was not affected was a three-year-old child.
