According to TASS news agency's local report on May 10, Kremlin spokesman Peskov said that Russia supports a 30-day ceasefire, but the ceasefire plan must fully take into account the "nuances" in this conflict.

Peskov said: "After the US Trump administration proposed the ceasefire plan, it was immediately supported by Russian President Putin. However, he also stated that if many 'detail issues' related to the ceasefire are not properly arranged, it will be difficult to discuss the specific ceasefire plan in detail."

Currently, Russia has ceased fire from midnight of May 8 Moscow time to midnight of May 11. During this period, all military operations by the Russian side will be suspended.

The Russian side has repeatedly stated before that establishing a mechanism to supervise and maintain the ceasefire is a precondition for achieving long-term ceasefire.

On May 9 local time, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy announced on social media "X" that Ukraine is ready for a full 30-day ceasefire, and said that "this round of 30-day ceasefire may become the beginning of long-term peace in the future." Zelenskyy also said: "The United States can help achieve the ceasefire."

Agence France-Presse reported that US President Trump publicly appealed for an unconditional 30-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine on the 8th, and warned that "violations of the ceasefire agreement will be subject to sanctions."
