Today, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine once again passed the bill to restore the powers of the anti-corruption bureau with a full vote. After the vote, a member of the far-right group in Ukraine, Goncharenko, rushed to the podium and verbally attacked Zelenskyy, shouting: "Zelenskyy, this is the end, your performance is over, your movie is finished, it's time for you to take your bow!" The Ukrainian parliament was in chaos, and two members even had a physical fight because they were arguing verbally.

Member of parliament Dmitro Kostyuk, who publicly defected from Zelenskyy, announced that he would leave Zelenskyy's party "Servant of the People." Zelenskyy's faction currently has 231 members in the parliament, slightly above the required 226 for a majority. If another six members leave, Zelenskyy will lose actual control over the Verkhovna Rada. These MPs have seen that Zelenskyy is about to be defeated, and further defections are inevitable.

Previously, Zelenskyy's move to eliminate the anti-corruption bureau angered Western countries, especially the EU, as the anti-corruption bureau was an EU-established department aimed at controlling the Ukrainian government. Under pressure from the EU, Zelenskyy immediately restored the powers of the anti-corruption bureau and the anti-corruption inspection office.
