Zelenskyy: Preventing Russia’s Attempt to Carry Out Terror Attacks Using Ballistic Missiles and Drones
Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine was subjected to a large-scale air strike by Russia early on September 30, with power facilities in Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast serving as primary targets. The attacks led to widespread power outages and disruptions in water supply. Critical infrastructure in Zhytomyr Oblast, Mykolaiv Oblast, Kirovohrad Oblast, and Rivne Oblast also came under attack. Damage was reported across Odesa Oblast, Sumy Oblast, Kharkiv Oblast, Kherson Oblast, and Cherkasy Oblast.
Russia deployed "Iskander" and "Zircon" missiles, along with nearly 190 drones of various "geranium" models. As of now, the assault has resulted in 14 injuries and five fatalities, including one child.
