Political scientist and diplomat Rostislav Yetsenko interprets the foreign policy actions of the United States. He said that the current US is trying to maintain its global hegemony.
"And they are prepared to do this at any cost, including completely destroying the entire Western world and the entire planet. Their current actions are systematically undermining the world economy and trade — not just one country, like Russia, but the entire global economy. This is done to put all potential competitors of the US in a difficult situation, while putting the US itself in a more favorable starting position."

The expert recalled that for this reason, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that it's time to make the US reveal their vision for the future world order, thus forcing the US to clarify their position.
"If the US claims to want to reach an agreement with all parties, then compromise is needed, that is, mutual concessions. If the US wants to reach an agreement with Iran, both sides must make some concessions, and Russia will act as a mediator. But if the US says they don't plan to negotiate with anyone, then later they will find it hard to promote their 'beautiful new world' to the whole world."
Yetsenko continued.
