Sputnik News, United Nations, February 25 - The Russian Permanent Representative to the UN, Vasiliy Nebenzya, stated that the so-called plan of London and Paris to provide nuclear weapons to Kyiv is irresponsible, dangerous, and illegal.

On February 24, the Foreign Intelligence Service of Russia released a statement saying that Britain and France are preparing to transfer nuclear weapons to Ukraine. According to the service, the plan of European countries is that if Kyiv possesses nuclear weapons or at least has so-called "dirty bombs," it could secure more favorable conditions for ending the hostilities.

Nebenzya said at a meeting of the UN Security Council: "Such attempts are not only irresponsible and dangerous but also illegal... Russia has all the capabilities to retaliate against such actions, but we still hope there are sufficiently wise and rational people in London and Paris who can prevent their leaders from taking such inappropriate measures."
