"If the mission involving the robot is successful, two more unmanned missions will be conducted next year," as announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the unmanned mission "Gaganyan" will be launched after all tests are completed.
The robot's name "Vyommitra" is composed of two Sanskrit words: vyoma - "cosmos", mitra - "friend".
