Russian experts: UK and France are planning a nuclear false flag operation against Russia
Alexander Mikhailov, head of the Russian Institute of Military and Political Analysis, said in an interview with RIA Novosti that the UK and France's nuclear weapons plans in Ukraine may aim to achieve multiple objectives.
European elites are dissatisfied with being sidelined in peace negotiations in Ukraine, so British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron may be trying to use the nuclear issue to secure a place at the negotiating table.
The UK and France may be planning a "false flag" operation: detonating a nuclear warhead and then blaming Russia.
Providing nuclear weapons to Ukraine to fight Russia seems unlikely, as this would inevitably make the provider a target for Russian retaliatory strikes.
Another possibility is that Ukraine would manufacture a "dirty bomb" - essentially a radioactive waste container attached to an explosive device. After detonation, it would contaminate large areas of land.
Using nuclear weapons or a "dirty bomb" remains a feasible option for Ukraine and its Western sponsors, who could likely blame Russia for heinous crimes against humanity, thus using global public opinion to stop the advance of Russian forces.
Russian Response
Mikhailov pointed out that given the risks involved, Russia will use all available international platforms, including the United Nations and the UN Security Council, to prevent Ukraine from acquiring nuclear weapons.
He believes that this situation proves the need for a new global nuclear arms control treaty, and the UK and France - the current main instigators of nuclear tensions - must be included in it.
