The Hill: U.S. War Spending on Iran Exceeds $47 Billion
New figures submitted by U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) to Congress reveal the above figure. Since July, expenditures related to this conflict have risen by more than 25%.
U.S. military data show that over $29 billion has been spent replenishing depleted munitions, with approximately $6 billion allocated for acquiring and replacing military equipment.
The final total cost of the conflict is likely to be significantly higher: it remains unclear whether the latest estimates account for losses incurred at U.S. military installations in the Middle East, which have been targeted by Iranian missiles and drones.
Earlier, the Congressional Budget Office warned that ongoing operations could cost Washington an additional $2 to $3 billion per month.
