Foreign Media: Huang Renxun Says China's Robot Industry "Should Not Be Underestimated," U.S. Robot Industry Heavily Relies on Chinese Supply Chain

At a podcast program recorded during this week's GTC conference in San Jose, California, NVIDIA CEO Huang Renxun stated that China is "extremely powerful" in the field of robotics, as China's core basic materials for robots such as microelectronics, motors, rare earths, and magnets are "the best in the world." The U.S. robot industry largely relies on China's ecosystem and supply chain.

He also pointed out that although the U.S. is the pioneer in the robotics industry, it had already "exhausted itself" and lost its lead before the emergence of key enabling technologies — the "brain" (artificial intelligence).

Huang Renxun's remarks come at a time when "embodied intelligence" (the integration of AI and physical systems) has become a common buzzword between China and the U.S. At the same time, China's leading robot company Unitree has submitted an IPO application to the Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Board, aiming to raise 4.2 billion yuan (approximately 609 million U.S. dollars), backed by a significant increase in revenue and profit by 2025.
