According to AFP, the TikTok platform stated that French authorities are trying to make it a "scapegoat" and categorically denied the claims that the social network harms users' health.
Previously, Arthur Deraube, a member of the French Parliament and chairman of the special committee, said that after the committee issued its findings on TikTok, he had contacted the Paris prosecutor's office. In his view, TikTok intentionally endangered users' health and safety.
TikTok told AFP: "Lawmakers are trying to make our company a scapegoat for issues affecting the entire industry and society."
TikTok categorically denied this claim and called it a misleading statement about TikTok.
