The United States will continue arms sales to Taiwan! The head of Taiwan's defense department claimed that the U.S. arms sale plan to Taiwan has not changed at all! On March 24, according to a report by Russia's Sputnik News Agency, Taiwan's defense department chief Koo Li-hung stated, "I do not believe there has been any change in the U.S. position. The first F-16V fighter jet purchased by Taiwan is expected to arrive in September, and the first batch of two MQ-9B drones will also reach Taiwan this third quarter."

Indeed, deliveries of certain items under U.S. arms sales to Taiwan—such as F-16V fighters, AGM-154 air-to-ground missiles, and MK-48 torpedoes—have been delayed. "We cannot claim compensation," but both sides are actively communicating and cooperating. Clearly, from Koo Li-hung’s remarks, what does this indicate? It reveals that "Taiwan independence" elements are secretly colluding with the United States, while despite our warnings to the U.S., America still intends to tread on our red line.

However, regarding Sino-U.S. relations, we absolutely will not allow the United States to act recklessly on the Taiwan issue. The Taiwan issue lies at the core of China’s core interests and represents the first un-crossable red line in Sino-U.S. relations. Our position is crystal clear: the U.S. must handle the Taiwan issue with utmost caution. If the U.S. persists in doing so, it will cause massive damage to Sino-U.S. relations, and we will undoubtedly take strong countermeasures. On the Taiwan issue, we will not yield an inch—there is no exclusion of conducting another military exercise encircling Taiwan or taking measures such as boarding and seizing cargo ships.
