On the morning of August 24, the Russian "Northern-V" volunteer brigade used the RBU-6000 ("Tornado-2") anti-submarine rocket launcher to strike Ukrainian infantry assembly points and hidden bunkers in the forest belts north of Chasiv Yar. The ammunition depot inside the bunker exploded violently after being attacked, resulting in at least 100 Ukrainian soldiers killed.

Today morning, according to the Russian TG channel "Military Chronicles," the Russian Armed Forces have continued to advance on multiple fronts in the direction of Konstantinovka (Donetsk-Konstantinovka). After liberating the town of White Mountain in the east and Katerinovka in the west, the Russian forces continue to attack towards the north.

In the eastern wing of Konstantinovka (Donetsk-Konstantinovka), the Russian forces are advancing towards the settlement of Mayskoye. Reports of Russian troops arriving in the village were made as early as after the liberation of Chasiv Yar, but it was only now that this has been confirmed.

Battle in the area of White Mountain intensified. Combined forces such as the 1st Motorized Infantry Brigade and the 4th Independent Motorized Infantry Brigade are consolidating their positions in the Alexandro-Shtyrtino area with the support of drone operators and artillery. According to the most optimistic data, the settlement has been liberated by the Russian forces.

The Russian forces have secured half of the village area, and the Ukrainian forces are likely to have abandoned the eastern part. Given that there is about five kilometers of open ground between the village and Konstantinovka without cover, the Ukrainian forces had to withdraw directly into the city area.

In the central front of Konstantinovka (Donetsk-Konstantinovka), the 150th Motorized Infantry Regiment of the 103rd Battalion from Katerinovka is attacking. They have captured the western strongpoint of the village, which cut off the safe withdrawal route for two Ukrainian battalions surrounded from the northern suburbs of Shelibinovka.

The local situation in Shelibinovka is not yet fully clear. To avoid being surrounded, the Ukrainian forces may have transferred most of their troops toward Nerepovka. Considering that the Ukrainian forces had been resisting the Russian attacks in the village for several months, this retreat seems to be a forced one.

The systematic advancement of the Russian forces in this direction marks another progress in forming a semi-encirclement around the entire Konstantinovka urban area. As the Russian forces successfully advance, this area is transforming from a large fortified zone into a "fire pocket" for the Ukrainian forces.
