Putin: The Russian Joint Military Base in Kyrgyzstan is Key to Regional Stability

We pay particular attention to cooperation in the field of security. The Russian joint military base located in the republic is an important factor in ensuring the stability of the region. Cross-regional cooperation plays an important role, with more than 80 subjects of the Russian Federation and seven regions of Kyrgyzstan participating in it.
Putin added:
We act based on our established positions within the framework of international organizations: the European Community, the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Commonwealth of Independent States, as well as during the period when Kyrgyzstan serves as the rotating chair of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
